In the early 90s news was telecasted for just over half an hour, and life seemed to be better. Social media, 24X7 news channels have all not calmed but caused chaos. The world is going at such a breakneck pace that they don’t even have time to think. Social media algorithms are the ultimate evil schemers in centuries. If you had searched for a particular product or followed a person with certain ideologies, social algorithms will show more of this content. But over the years I have noticed that they show more of the antithetical ideas and propaganda as well. By doing this they seem to infuriate people into thinking that they were right all along.

For example, if you are a sympathizer with a certain political party, surely you will be shown more of the content aligned with your favorite party, but it will also show how the other party is doing as well, and how badly they are doing reinforces their belief as well. Ironically, it is a game of algorithms that are playing with the human psyche. I am sure many have realized this, and it looks like the matrix all over again. The love for fellow humans has been divided with lust for power. On the basis of religion, race, caste, and political parties have started to encroach on the people. It is time to evaluate what social media is doing to us. Is the world really that bad, or it is some hidden agenda of the social media companies.
